Check out a word from our Pastor!

Eighteen Inches

"It’s only half a yardstick—a mere eighteen inches—yet sometimes it can seem like an infinite distance.

It’s the space between the head and the heart.

We can know what God has said, and still struggle to believe it. God tells us that He formed us in the womb, that He chose us as His own, that we are His children, that He will never leave us nor forsake us, that we are forgiven, and that we are loved.

We can know all of these things in our head, yet somehow have trouble letting them settle into our heart.

God doesn’t just want us to know that He loves us. He wants us to believe it—to trust it—to let His love become more than something we know and become something we live from.

The distance between the head and the heart may only be eighteen inches, but sometimes it takes faith to bridge that distance".

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16 KJV
