Lame at the Kings Table
Pastor Justin Wells
"We believed God could do it for somebody else, but we struggled to believe He could do it for us."
2 Samuel 4:4, 9:1-13
Key Points:
What does lame mean?
Lame means not strong, good, or effective
History Lesson: Mephibosheth, Jonathan, and Saul. David allowed the lame man to eat at his table.

"We have all been not effective or not strong enough, many times."
2 Samuel 9:7, "...Thou shalt eat bread at my table continually."
This is a promise.
2 Samuel 9:10, "... Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table."
No matter your struggle, "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good".
2 Samuel 9:11, "...He shall eat at my table, as one of the King's sons".
David showed the same nature of the Father in the story of the Prodigal Son.
2 Samuel 9:13, "...he did eat continually at the King's table".
He stepped into the promise the King made to him.
The King's table is still open. No matter what's coming against you, the Lord always has a seat for you at His table.
Think about this: "Have you ever been weak, ineffective, wounded, or unable to move forward as you should?"
Lame in our commitment-
Lame in our faith-
Lame because of our past-
Lame because of what somebody else did to us-
Lame because we simply didn't have the strength to do what was right-
Do not let the devil whisper in your ear saying, "You can't ever change," when the King of kings still has a seat at his table for you.
Psalm 34:8
The King is calling!
