~Thursday Thoughts~

Faithfulness means staying loyal, steadfast, and true not only to promises, but to relationships in general. One thing that God teaches us continuously in the bible is faithfulness to His word through His values and expectations. In a world that seems to always be shifting, or where nothing is stable or steadfast; I'm thankful for the faithfulness of Jesus!

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV

There is such a comfort in knowing that no matter what happens in this world, Jesus never leaves us nor forsakes us. He is faithful to us, even when we are not faithful to Him.

If we take a look at King David in the Old testament, we see where he fails to keep his promises to God countless times. The factor of David's story that made him the man after God's own heart was not his fail to faithfulness, but it is the repentant heart that kept him going. David's story was built on the foundation that he knew God would never leave him.

Psalms 18:3, 6-7, 17 all state times that God heard David and delivered him.

If God can deliver David, he can deliver anyone.

If God was faithful back then, He is faithful now.

If He heard David then, He hears you now.
