The Deception of the Sand

Key Points:

  • Overview on Sand:

    • Most beaches are filled with all manner of people. It is a place that brings people from all over as one of the best locations to relax. Sand is fun to play sandcastles, volleyball, bury shells, etc.

    • Sand is not only for play, but it also is used to cover up rock formations and soil covering the unappealing qualities replacing them with a visual masterpiece.

  • The Gold Coast:

    • A beach located in Australia was highly populated with tourism. They would come to see the beauty of the beach. This City was known for the perfection in the look of the sand.

    • In March of 2023, there was a cyclone strike causing a devastation to the beach revealing what was beneath the surface the whole time.

    • Sand is not just used to be beautiful, but also was used as a concealer.

  • Wise man vs. Foolish man

    • Matthew 7:24-27

  • Proverbs 23:23

  • "Why are some churches losing their identity? Because they built on the sand. Why do some people walk away from God? They built on the sand. How can some people go from being on fire for God, but now they have become distant from His presence? They built on the sand."

  • Moses

    • Exodus 2:12, Hid him in the sand thinking no one would know.

    • Two hebrews addressed him about the sin that he hid in the sand.

    • "The sand might make it look pretty, but the sand cannot hide the truth."

    • You can try to hide sin in the sand, but it can only cover it up. On the other hand the blood of Jesus not only covers your sin, but washes it away.

  • History of the Roman Colosseum

    • The last time a christian was killed and buried in the sand in the games.
