What Flag Are You Flying?

"When the battle is over I want everyone to know whose side I was on."

"The fight worth fighting for is your faith, to know what you believe, to hold true the principles of this Word."

Isaiah 59:16-19


Key Points:

  • Isaiah starts by creating the foundation that God's power is not the issue.

  • Iniquity- Means crooked ways

  • We all sin but we need to quickly repent so we can re-establish the connection to our savior.

  • The enemy is known to come in like a flood. In a flood we are surrounded.

    • We have a promise that when the enemy comes in, that the Lord will show up.

  • Standard- Means banner or flag. A visible signal for people to rally around

    • What flag are we waving with our lives?

  • The story of the Japanese pilot.

    • The navy is known to wrap the body of a soldier in their flag and then burying them into the sea.

    • When this young man was buried he was then identified with the nation and people that flag represented.

  • Matthew 5:14-16
