Choices - Blessings or Curses, Life or Death

Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

The Lord sets choices before us each day, all day long.

We choose which way to go.

We choose which way to act.

We choose which way to react.

Choose who you will follow.

Seek the Lord for wisdom.

Make choices that will honor God.

Will you choose life and blessings, or death and cursing?

Every day is a new day. It is a day full of opportunities to seek the Lord. God has granted you TODAY. He's ready to hear from you. This verse lays out some good direction:

Isaiah 55:6

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Reflecting on what Sister Beverly said, "Choose who you will follow", this verse came to mind:

Joshua 24:15

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

A verse for "Seek the Lord for wisdom" is James 1:5,

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
